XAU H3 – Breaking Trendline, increasing momentum
XAUUSD has broken above the downtrend line and is now trading around 4,071, while reclaiming the short-term EMA cluster. The 3,970–4,020 support zone has repeatedly absorbed selling pressure, while the current breakout shows that the short-term structure is gradually shifting in favor of buyers.
Fundamentally, gold is being supported as oil prices cool down thanks to US-Iran diplomatic expectations, thereby somewhat reducing inflation concerns and monetary tightening pressure. Gold rose more than 1% during the session.
On H3, as long as the price maintains the 4,020–4,050 zone, the breakout is still considered valid. A successful retest and solid close above 4,080 could pave the way for XAUUSD to advance to 4,120–4,170, then test the key resistance area around 4,216.
