By using atomic settlement escrow contracts, X18ex avoids the lock-and-mint mechanisms of traditional bridges. Funds from both the user and the Resolver are locked in audited escrow contracts. The transaction only completes if both parties fulfill their obligations. If a Resolver fails to deliver within 10 minutes, the user’s funds are auto-refunded. There are no massive liquidity contracts holding locked tokens, eliminating the primary target for smart contract exploits.
To ensure security and reliability, all resolvers must stake $X18 tokens in the system’s smart contracts with successful fills where resolvers receive transaction fees and build their performance score. If a Resolver fails to execute the intent, manipulates rates, or exceeds the timeout limit, their staked $X18 is slashed (tịch thu) 100%. The slashed tokens are burned vĩnh viễn, reducing the overall token supply. This alignment of incentives ensures that Resolvers act in the best interest of traders, maintaining high execution quality and fast processing speeds.
